General introduction

The purpose of this site is to enable both staff and students in the department of Chemistry to access information and software related to their work and study. Although this information and software may be available from other sources, the aim is to make this a "one-stop" site. Because of the nature of some of the software, this site can only be accessed by users with a @sheffield.ac.uk domain email address.

Information pages and software downloads

With any web site it should be easy to locate either the required information or software for downloading. Selecting the Information pages and software downloads link in the adjacent left hand panel, an A to Z of entries located on this site will be displayed. Because this site is just being developed, the number of entries is currently very small and it may be quicker just to select the appropriate link, but as the site expands it is hoped that this A to Z approach will enables users to quickly locate the items they require.

Important: This site is primarily for use by staff and students in the department of Chemistry. Users from other departments may also use this site but they should be aware that some of the software is tailored exclusively for the department of Chemistry - so Caveat emptor.
